I’ve been taking photographs for more than half my lifetime and grew up watching my brother developing and printing black and white prints of the local city with the tones and grittiness of 1980′s Northern Ireland evident in his prints. I wanted to do something different and I started as most photographers do discovering the world around me in different ways but I wanted to be away from the city and move into the countryside. Here I could appreciate the lakes, mountains and develop my eye for details and panoramas of the landscape around me.
I am lucky enough to have settled in the picturesque lower Wye Valley in South Wales. It’s a beautiful area for landscape photography and it is considered an Area of Outstanding Beauty and I love living here. As the Wye Valley is right on the border of England and Wales, I’m a stones throw away from the Royal Forest of Dean and it’s forested landscapes. My passion is landscape photography but recently I’ve started to diversify into wildlife and stock imagery, some of which you can see in the galleries. The worldwide game of ‘Geocaching’ has introduced me to many new vantage points and areas of the Wye Valley I never knew existed and now I have many more images to add to my collections.
I’m based in the Wye Valley and available for shoots in South Wales and South West England.
